The format of the conference will be a hybrid event streamed live from Bonamanzi. Presenters will have the option of presenting either in person or virtually. Similarly, prospective delegates may choose to attend in person or virtually.

Special Day for Reserve Managers
This year the SAWMA conference will dedicate an entire day (Tuesday, 6 September) to reserve management where we will focus on sharing experience and knowledge between the wildlife management and scientific communities. The day will start with a keynote address from Dr Mike Peel, who has more than 30 years’ experience in consulting and assisting reserve managers with key management issues. The rest of the morning program will consist of selected presentations by our members, reserve managers and students on key issues relevant to reserves. For the afternoon we have planned a brainstorming session in workshop format to discuss and unpack real life reserve management issues and collectively focus on finding possible solutions for the future. ‘
